Payment, cancellation and cancellation
Payment Private participants
An invoice will be issued immediately after registration. Payment must be made before the start of the course in accordance with the stated payment terms. If the course fee has not been paid, participation will not be possible. As a private participant, your registration is only confirmed once payment has been received.
Company
An invoice will be issued immediately after the course has ended. VAT will be charged on all invoices in accordance with Danish VAT legislation.
Cancellation
If you are unable to attend a course, cancellation must be submitted by email to the SIMAC Training course administration at
training@simac.dk.
If cancellation is made more than 14 days before the start of the course, the full course fee will be refunded.
If cancellation is made between 7 and 14 days before the start of the course, 50% of the course fee will be charged.
If cancellation is made later than 7 days before the start of the course, the full course fee will be charged.
Substitution of participant
If you are unable to attend a course, the person who made the booking may send another participant at no additional cost.
SIMAC Training’s course administration must be notified no later than the day before the course starts.
Cancellation and changes to course dates
If there are not enough participants registered for a course, we reserve the right to cancel it.
We also reserve the right to change course dates. This will be communicated no later than 7 days before the course start date.
Lunch and accommodation
Lunch
When attending a course with physical presence, lunch as well as coffee/tea are included in the price.
If you have any allergies, this must be stated at the time of registration or no later than 7 days before the course start.
Accommodation
Accommodation is arranged and paid for by the participant or their employer.
SIMAC Training has negotiated rates with several good hotels in Svendborg and the surrounding area. When booking your room, simply inform the hotel that you are attending a course at SIMAC.

Certificates and course materials
Course materials All materials are provided in digital format only.
This means that a computer or tablet with access to Microsoft Teams is required in order to participate in both on-site and online courses at SIMAC Training.
CertificatesWe only issue electronic certificates via
IDSURE.IO. This means that once the course has been completed, you will only receive your certificate electronically. Before the course starts, you are kindly asked to create and verify your user account on
IDSURE.IO so that we can issue the certificate. You must use the same email address as the one used for your course registration.
In order to use IDSURE.IO, valid photo ID is required so that your identity can be verified. If you do not have valid photo ID and therefore cannot be identified via IDSURE.IO, the solution cannot be used. In that case, a physical certificate must be issued at a cost of DKK 685 excl. VAT.
After receiving the electronic certificate, you may print it if you would like a hard copy.
If you would like a physical certificate issued by SIMAC Training, the cost is DKK 685 excl. VAT.
Lost course certificate
If your course certificate has been lost, we will be happy to send you a new one. The price is DKK 685.00 excl. VAT per certificate.
Examination rules and assessment
Examination rules – courses subject to supervision by the Danish Maritime Authority (DMA)
For courses subject to supervision by the Danish Maritime Authority, SIMAC Training informs participants and other relevant parties of the applicable examination rules for the specific course prior to the assessment.
Forms of assessment
Depending on the course, one or more of the following forms may be applied, all assessed as
Pass/Fail
Continuous assessment of participation and performance in the course elements Written test, typically short-answer and multiple-choice questions (possibly with a minimum requirement for MCQ) Oral examination (interview) conducted as a structured competence assessment
General rules
Identity may be verified. The use of aids and electronic devices must comply with the instructor’s guidelines.
Unauthorised assistance or cheating may result in a Fail.
Course-specific rules (including any pass requirements) are specified in the course materials.
Evaluation and complaints procedure
Course evaluation Shortly after your participation in the course, you will receive an evaluation form sent to the same email address used for your registration.
Complaints procedure If you wish to submit a complaint regarding an assessment or an administrative decision, you must first submit your complaint to SIMAC Training at
training@simac.dk no later than 2 weeks after the decision.
SIMAC Training will process the complaint as the first instance. If your complaint is not fully upheld, you may escalate it to the Danish Maritime Authority. This applies
only to courses subject to supervision by the Danish Maritime Authority. SIMAC Training will be happy to advise which courses are covered.
